Morecambe

Salam and hi!

Stress week. Been writing for the whole week and I need a short sweet escape -- I don't mind if it's 10-15 minutes getaway. Hihihihii parah sangat dah my brain tak boleh digest any words from journals and books. Get myself ready and....hurmm where I want to go? I don't want to go to town -- boooringggg... Any family-friend attraction places nearby with peace atmosphere? Seaside? Sunset?

Morecambe!

Morecambe... a small town in Lancashire, England -- 15 minutes from my place. The town is surrounded by attractive villages.

Take a look at all of the things to do around Morecambe!

Finally, sampai juga Morecambe even though 10-15mins only because we have a big issue with the weather! -- heavy rain spreads across Northern England. I'll definitely come back! See u again Morecambe! xoxoxo

Farewell pictures.

I hate any activities related to 'farewell'. Farewell dinner, farewell party, farewell wishes, farewell farewell farewell......... Because I am not that 'strong' enough to face it. Hati sensitif lebih ikat tepi.

Sedih.
Tak best.
Mixed feelings.
And am sure I'll burst into tears!

Goodbye Kak Maz and Abg Suhaimi and kids. Kak Maz, so sorry that you're leaving and you'll be missed ever so much. Thanks for the souvenir from Paris. Wish you a heartfelt good luck and keep in touch! Hope to see you all in Malaysia again, InsyaAllah!

The World at Lancaster

It was a colourful cultural evening filled with free international street food, mocktails, exciting performances and activities from around the world in Lancaster University.

And this is what happens when you let people do creative stuff on stage! Splendid evening at university. But sad...there was no dragon dance this year.

But I hope the malaysian society here will have some spots to be part of this exciting performance in the future! And maybe....I should lead. LOL! Zapin or dikir barat perhaps? hihihihiii

Yeah zapin dance should be on the stage too! Next year perhaps?

Mangga Jeruk Asam Boi

Finally, I made my own pickles! Special made with love. Tak mengidam yee... But friends and families been updating pictures of their homemade mango pickles. After weeks been hunting for the ingredients, from Lancaster to Manchester, Lancaster to Morecambe, Lancaster to Preston and finally I have all the ingredients. Perfect!

The ingredients:

4 or 5 unripe or semi-ripe mango (you can either peel off the skin or not...its up to you)
A pinch of sugar
A  pinch of salt
2  red hot chili
6-7 dried preserved plum
2-3  lemon

Slice the mango and chili into thin pieces. Squeeze out the lemon juice by hand for 2 or 3 table spoons (30 to 40 milliliters). Make sure don't slice the mango too thin. Add everything and mix them well in the container. And lastly, place it in the fridge for 2-3 hours.

And......you can eat while watching tv!

Beautiful of Bowland Forest

Salam and hi again! After having a stress day at school -- meeting with supervisor, amendment session, next progress, writing literature review for next progress meeting.. I am exhausted! And my husband came back from his short trip to Bowland Forest. I saw the pictures and.... Subhanallah! Wowwwwwwww I am melting for the magnificent views. Thanks hubby for the pictures. And I am sharing few pictures of Bowland Forest, just 10-15 minutes from our place.

"Bowland survives as the north-western remainder of the ancient wilderness that once stretched over a huge part of England, encompassing the Forest of Bowland" - source from Wikipedia.

It's worth of walking from our place right?

This is 'Switzerland of England'!!!

Besides of cycling, walking or hiking activities..you can drive your car exploring the Bowland Forest too! LOL :)

What you did last weekend Nysa - Manchester!

I love traveling. Being a PhD student is not  all about studying only, its all about your passion, your contribution to the community you've been surrounded, exploring the places and many more. Let everything loose. People wouldn't notice you've been crying all day because of your thesis's writing, your progress with supervisor, your brain couldn't digest what you've been reading, and many more.

"So many books, so little time..." - Frank Zappa

And that is why...I travel -- the best method so far, stress therapy.

The Wilmslow Road in Manchester. Middle Est and South Asia's specialising cuisines road. Don't worry there are so many restaurants you can choose. But the Delight's, the fabulous sandwiches in the area! Friendly staff and good service as well.

Opppssss Mr, be careful with your hand gesture. There are many Red Devil's fans here. Apparently, we are not really into football thingy. Lucky for us too because we don't have to keep our eyes on the results table all the time...hehehe

Yeah, it's £30 for this. I want to buy it but what am I gonna do with this at home and where I want to keep it? Living room? Library? Ouch!

Which one? Alex Furguson or Rooney? OK, I'll buy gloves then. It attracts me more than these books! Good for knowledge but quite boring for me to take this home and read it through. Pass, NEXT!

Yeah, this is the price of Man United's jersey. No money no order taking. LOL!

When I went to Manchester and first thing popped up in my mind was... Old Trafford stadium, the Sir Alex Furguson Stand. It is the second largest football stadium after Wembley Stadium. I wanted to tease my sister and her friend, Hazim -- they are die-hard fans of Manchester United of course! This is the only way I can make them to come here though... Unfortunately, my other three brothers they are NOT red devil's fans, therefore they are not into this thingy at all. So, I am not worried so much about them when I'm sharing these photos. Ouch, talking about them..I miss them so much!

Maybe for the next entry, I will update the atmosphere of attending a game live in the stadium. the excitement of cheering, the feeling that the outcome of the game is in my hands and definitely, I am gonna cheering loudly!
