Autumn in Lancaster.

Autumn in Lancaster. October in Lancaster... tremendously different than I had before back 2002 to 2005 in Birmingham.

Fuhhhhh penat tak habis lagi! Frezingggggg cold Lancaster. Crazy strong wind. The freshness of summer will end but HEY HEY HEY beautiful yellow and orange trees! Alhamdullilah, thank you Allah for the greatest opportunities given for this year - self motivate to get my PhD! Well, life in Lancaster seems like the perfect English autumnal days, here and there a yellow leaf and the sun...warm enough for spring.

After staying in Birmingham for 4 days at uncle's house, we toured Birmingham city, had a greatest double cheese burger and a massive portion of Arabic cuisine, and finally we arrived in Lancaster by train last Saturday. I miss Birmingham so much. Been there, lived there for 4 years but still...Hahaha tak ingat jalan langsung! Yelah, masa tu zaman azroy - zaman teenager, school and college life. MANAAA NAK INGAT KAN! And not to forget, cheese and onion pasty! Whoahhh whoever yang pernah datang UK or yang akan datang UK, please try Greggs. Their cheese and onion's pasty is the best! Nicely baked-cheesy-super delicious!

And the next day, I met my supervisor. A perfect kind-hearted supervisor, Dr David James.. owh I am sure he will be my emotional supporter for the whole 3 years here in Lancaster. The relationship between supervisor is one of the most important determinants in the success of a PhD. If supervisor don't grow on trees, well there is not one place for you to look.

Actually I was so nervous on my first day. It was chaos a little bit but Alhamdullilah I can managed myself to register and attending few meet & greet's sessions at my faculty department LICA (Lancaster Institute of Contemporary Art) and also an introduction session for Research Training Programme for PhD graduates here by the Lancaster University's training staffs. For the first month my schedules will pack as hell but yeahhh..it is part of learning process so I will go through it with an open heart! And the  British accent - so Harry Potter me. Phew! hehehe

And October, Hellooooooooo! My birthday month and October will give me a party! Magnificent autumn 2014 ever! I cannot endure to waste anything so precious by staying in the house, so I've spent almost all the daylight hours in the open air. Here, pictures of beautiful Lancaster town and Lancaster University. Sejuk tapi gigih juga nak jalan. Nampak je sunny and warm tapi alahai, terasa angin sejuk juga sampai ke tulang!

Greggs! If datang UK, please do have a self try their cheese and onion pasty because its totally awesomelicious! But beware of their hotness ok, not hotness sexy, tapi jangan bagi lidah melecur....hehehehe

Safely arrived in Lancaster... rest and preparing for the next day's adventure..hehe.

The leaves are slowly turned into vivid colours of yellow and then red orangey, slowly turned into brown before leaves finally drift off trees. Later, I will upload more pictures of leaves starting to fall ok!

This is one of beautiful building in stunning countryside of Lancaster. You will be amazed with the view from completely different perspective.

My Girls

Alhamdullilah, for the last time we hung up together before I left the country for 3-4 years. Everybody knows relationships change over time. Our relationships moved from early 20s and InsyaAllah it will last forever till Jannah, amin.... Last time I went to see most of my BFFs once in a month at least and now time changes...once in a year maybe? Hurmm I miss them so much.

For me, BFF(s) is when I call her crying in the middle of the night, not because of some guy hasn't called me back but it is because I am wondering will my daughter or son will walk the aisle with them as flower girl/boy...

I got this beautiful friendship quote from the internet, saying...

"A friend is someone who can see the truth and pain in you even when you are fooling everyone else. And everyone has a 'bestfriend' during each stage of life-only a precious few have the same one..."

Here is my story about my friendship...with Melor Athirah, Adilah Hamdan, Teera Sedek, Deena, Nelly Nellissa and Shasha Sachiko. I've known these girls for ages...really??? *confused. We've gone through lots of things, moments together. We lived together, cooking, swimming, having fun, have lunch-breakfast-dinner together, messing around, partying..ALL TOGETHER. And Alhamdullilah our friendship still continues even though we have ups and downs, fighting with each other, arguments but we can managed it really well. KAWAN kannn.. Our conversations are really deep and personal, involving romantic lives, home lives and dream for the future. My girls are the prettiest, genuinely kind, hilarious, great listeners and empathetic. *give em credits for it! HAHAHAHAH

Nelly was missing in this picture. Falling in love with this picture every time I see it. I am sure we had a lot of fun that day... We were having our late lunch at Burger Factory in SS15, Subang Jaya.

Lasting friendship is indeed, a blessing. Great and good friends are great pillars of life and my friends are helping me to stand tall and erect in life. True friendship is a great asset in life...

I MISS YOU ALL!!!! *tears dropping :(
